My name is Richard Carpenter. I decided to become an artist 17 years ago. In about 1995 I made my first Pine Needle Bear.  Since then I've created 7 bears in all.  2 life size, 4 cubs, and this Teddy Bear. In mid March this year an email went out with pictures of my bears and and antler carvings. Perhaps you received this email. Anyway, I started receiving emails back. With in 2 months time I was receiving 500 emails a day from>>All Over the World<<. I was forced to abandon my antique computer and buy a laptop. Among the letters of fan mail include letters from 7 year olds to 97 year olds. Letters from Art Majors, Art teachers, even a couple famous people. Countless wonderful letters. Needless to say this has been overwhelming. I have a 4 page feature article printed in Teddy Bear Magazine...U.K....My work is in the archives of the Folk Art Institute. It's been on TV News in Montana, and Idaho. News papers, and dozens of on line articles. Ripley's Believe it or Not! wanted my large bear for their London Museum and offered me $15,000 for it. World Entertain News Network is waiting for me to send them Hi-Res Images.     I've been asked many times if I make smaller versions of my bears, so this is my smallest bear. None the easier to make.His name is Booboo and he took me 7 weeks to create. Needles woven in one at a time over a wire frame. This bear sits at 12" high.. I carved the eyes, nose and claws from wood and added leather pads on his paws. He's then finished with a polyurathane coat. Notice the tips of the ears where I used the needle tufts.    This is a one time offer for one of my bears at an afforable starting price.
